The Hard Grime music festival made itsdebut in 2015 when it transformed Maitland Gaol into an EDM lover’s paradise.
The festival saw national and international dance music legends take the stage, including Must Die!, Maitland’s own Just A Gent, Seek ‘N’ Destroy, Apashe and Hydraulix.
Following a year hiatus in 2016, Hard Grime organisers Black Box N Co Productions have since teamed up with local music promoter Big Apachee to ensure the return of the festival in 2017.
This year’s festival will see live bands added tothe line-up and a widening of the genres as acoustic singers and pop-rock bands flesh out the line-up.
Alex LaheyHeadliner Tkay Maidza has had plenty of airplay with hits M.O.Band U-Huh. Shewill headline the event along with Northern California bass king Dack Janiels and Denmark trap artist SNAVS.
On the electronic dance side of the line-up will be New York EDM heavy weight Party Thieves, ’s own Spenda C, Brisbane based DJ NOY and deep house DJ’s from Coffs Harbour Kodagraph.
Joining the live stage will be Sydney’s indie pop sweetheart Nicole Millar, Melbourne based singer-songwriter Alex Lahey (who took out the Triple J Unearthed most played accolade for 2016), hip-hop producer Baro, Brisbane based producer Feki, pop rock combo The Million and well-known local favourites Gooch Palms and Morgana Osaki.
Hard Grime Music Festival will return to the Maitland Gaol on March 4 from 2pmto 10pm.
